Wilkinson Cameras are holding their annual Digital Splash event on Sunday 14th October at the University of Central Lancaster in Preston.  It brings together a wide variety of camera and camera accessories manufacturers and there are some great special offers to be had on the day.  No only that, but Charlie Hamilton-James, wildlife cameraman, made famous for his Halcyon River TV series will be giving a talk (well, 2 actually – one morning, one afternoon) sharing his knowledge and experience.  Alongside Charlie will be Will Cheung, freelance journalist/photographer and editor of Advanced Photographer magazine talking about landscape and rural photography. Finally, John Clements will be talking about portrait photography, and guiding us through the use of speedlights using the Lastolite Ezybox flash diffuser system and will have a live studio session with model Stacey Ross.  Book to see them online through the Wilkinson Digital Splash website.

I went a couple of years ago and it was a great show with plenty to see, and this year I’m pleased to say that it has moved venue, which will make parking a lot easier!  It’s well worth attending for anyone in the region, especially those who can’t get to shows like Photokina.  You get to see the latest kit and try it our for yourselves, all on your doorstep (well, mine at least!).

Find more about Wilkinson Cameras on FacebookTwitter as well as on their own website.
