A few shots from today for this week’s B&W One project.   I’ve been busy this week and not had a huge amount of time to get out shooting, so I went out into the local park this afternoon for an hour with my X100 and the EFX-20 flash.  I setup the EFX-20 flash in slave mode, and the camera as a commander so it didn’t add any light to the images from the on-board flash.  It wasn’t actually dark outside as it looks in the photos, I just set the camera and flash combination up to give that effect, a very small aperture to remove as much ambient light as possible and a carefully aimed flash (with my fingers used from time to time as a make-shift gobo!).  The EFX-20 worked better than I expected and saved me from carrying a flashgun bigger than the camera!

They were all taken in RAW and processed in Lightroom 4 using a single filter that I developed myself for previous X-Series RAW files.

The first one being my favourite and the pick of the week for the project.  Please do click on the images to get the full sized versions.
